Man charged with murder in stabbing death of real estate agent

Prosecutors have charged a 41-year-old man in the murder of Mary Beth San Juan.

Vernon Baker was charged today with second-degree murder, two counts of promoting dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.

His bail is set at $200,000.

The 56-year-old San Juan’s body was found Tuesday night in her Punahou Street driveway by her ex-husband.

Baker is a Facebook friend of San Juan, a real estate broker and an aspiring actress.
