A 25-year-old man who led police on a foot chase and had to be subdued by a Taser in Aiea Tuesday morning is scheduled to appear in court this morning.

Ronald K.K. Pawai Jr., who has no local address, was charged with resisting arrest, two counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal trespassing, and second-degree burglary.

He was being held on $35,000 bail.

According to police, officers responded to an alarm at Mobile Car Audio on Kamehameha Highway in Aiea about 3:20 a.m. Monday.

Pawai fled the property by climbing to the roof and jumping to another roof, then led police on a foot chase between houses and over fences, police said.

When officers caught up with him, he challenged them to a fight and was shot with the Taser.

A second suspect seen fleeing the property was not immediately located.
