Yama Fazzari
A 22-year-old homeless man, suspected of harassing Manoa residents for nearly a month, was back in court Monday.
Yama Fazzari entered a plea of not guilty for allegedly threatening a man and his wife Feb. 26 at Ala Moana Center.
Fazzari is being held at the Oahu Community Correctional Center unable to post bail of $25,000 bail after being charged with first-degree terroristic threatening.
Circuit Court Judge Richard Perkins set trail for the week of May 19.
First-degree terroristic threatening is a Class C felony with a maximum jail term of five years.
The incident at Ala Moana occurred a day after a judge released Fazzari, who had been arrested for allegedly picking a fight and kicking people at Manoa Valley District Park on Feb. 22. His District Court trial for the harassment charge is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. April 21.
According to a police affidavit, Fazzari confronted a couple as they left Macy’s on the shopping center’s third floor. The suspect walked up to the 33-year-old man, bringing his face close to the other man’s, and allegedly threatened the man, his wife and their dog.
