Maui fire crews battled a brush fire that broke out at around 9:50 a.m. at the Maui Paintball field near the Honoapiilani Highway in Olowalu today.
Lahaina firefighters arrived at the scene at around 10:07 a.m. and found about 1-1/2 acres of grass and brush on fire.
The fire was brought under control at 10:47 a.m. and extinguished at 11:17 a.m.
Crews found the charred remains of a drone near the center of the burned area but don’t know if it is related to the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
