A house was substantially damaged in a fire in Mililani Saturday, forcing five adults and two children to find shelter elsewhere.

The fire, which took 10 minutes to control after the initial call at 12:30 p.m.,  burned the bathroom, living room and part of a bedroom, Honolulu Fire spokesman Capt. James Todd said.

Todd said officials were still investigating the cause of the fire and its estimated damage.

The Red Cross said its volunteers will meet with affected residents to ensure their immediate emergency needs for food, shelter and clothing are met.
