A 27-year-old man may have been speeding when he lost control of his motorcycle on the H-2 freeway Thursday night near Mililani and was thrown from his vehicle after hitting a barrier wall, police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.

The accident occurred at 11:02 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the H-2 freeway about three-quarters of a mile south of the Ka Uka Boulevard offramp.

Police said the victim was riding a 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle when he lost control, crossed three lanes and was thrown into the bushes after hitting a barrier wall.
