A timely intervention saved a 42-year-old man from potential harm early Saturday morning in Waikele.
According to police, the man was confronted my two men who demanded his property and attempted to injure him with a knife.
The man was able to escape when a witness stopped his vehicle and drove him away to safety.
The two would-be robbers have not yet been located.
Police are investigating the 1:51 a.m. incident as first-degree attempted robbery.
