Nanakuli man, 44, facing charge in connection with car theft incident

A 44-year-old Nanakuli man is facing a charge of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

Police arrested Daniel Vierrat on Monday on suspicion of car theft. On Tuesday, prosecutors charged Vierra with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. His bail was set at $20,000.

Officers responded to a call on Oct. 6 regarding a suspicious vehicle whose driver appeared to be casing the area, police said. Officers located the vehicle, determined it was stolen, and arrested Vierra.
