President Barack Obama spoke at a fundraiser for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee at the Washington State Convention Center.
SEATTLE >> President Barack Obama has told Democratic donors in Washington state that “it’s up to you” after the failure to move ahead with gun legislation in the wake of the Orlando shootings.
Obama spoke today at a fundraiser for Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington, the first of two events he was headlining for Democratic candidates in the state. Obama hopes to help his party make inroads in state races and in Congress by raising money for their campaigns.
Obama also blames setbacks on immigration reform on Republicans and says a 4-4 deadlock by the Supreme Court on his immigration actions stems from Republicans declining to take up the nomination of Judge Merrick Garland.
Obama spoke to about 3,000 people at the Washington State Convention Center.

Maybe not the worst, but far from the best. Regardless, his challenge to democrats is spot on. If sensible gun legislation is going to have a chance, they need to listen instead of grandstand. Closing loopholes, proving incompetence based on logical determinations, and other already proposed measures have a chance of success.
He and Hillary need donors not suggestions.
Obama needs donors. I know he’s acting like he is running for the Presidency, but he isn’t. He’s a lame duck.
He goes and blows a million dollars of taxpayers money to fly to Washingtton State. He should have did an executive action and gave the Governor the money instead. Obama is poison. He will cost Hillary the election. Could not have happened to nicer “folks”. Hey Schatz, call your buddy for help like how you helped Abercrombie. Sleaze bag.
No need for money when the underwriters are Michael Bloomberg (billionaire) and Bill Gates (worlds richest person); you would be well served to read more and have actual facts at your disposal.
I don’t agree with Ryan on Trump but he has a point. The sit in was inappropriate. You have to follow the rules.

Obama remember your President. You are being paid to do your job, not campaign. The world is imploding if you hadn’t noticed.
