Police arrest 4 people for burglary and car theft

Two men and two women are in custody for allegedly breaking into a home earlier this month and stealing the homeowner’s car.

Police said the victim came home to a Honolulu-area residence on March 22 and discovered that his home had been burglarized. Later that night, the victim said he heard noises, but was too tired to investigate. In the morning, the victim realized his car keys and car had been stolen.

On Thursday police saw the stolen car and arrested the four people in the vehicle in Nuuanu.

Arrested for suspicion of car theft was a 19-year-old Nuuanu man. He also is being held on several drug charges.

Arrested  on suspicion of breaking into a car were two 19-year-old women and a 20-year-old Kailua man. The three also are being held on drug charges.
