Honolulu police are asking for the public's help in finding Derek Worsham, 37, who is wanted for kidnapping, sex assault and other warrants.

Honolulu police captured a 37-year-old man who allegedly held his 37-year-old ex-girlfriend against her will for 40 hours, raped and assaulted her.

Police issued a CrimeStoppers alert late this morning asking the public to help them find Derek Worsham and then canceled it at 1:51 p.m., after his arrest.

Police said the ordeal for the victim began at 4 p.m. Sunday when Derek Worsham went to his ex-girlfriend’s Ewa Beach home. Police said the suspect argued with his ex-girlfriend, held her against her will, sexually assaulted her, prevented her from leaving and prevented her from calling police until he left at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Worsham was wanted on warrants for sex assault, kidnapping and other alleged offenses.
