Police are looking for some male suspects in connection with the assault of a 17-year-old boy and his father in the Kunia area.
According to police, the teen was assaulted by the suspects Saturday at 4:15 p.m. while he was seated in a vehicle. Afterward, the victim went home and told his parents about the incident.
The father then ran after the suspects and he ended up being assaulted, police said. Another suspect fired several rounds in the air before the suspects fled in a vehicle.
The case has been classified as a first-degree reckless endangering and third-degree assault.
Police did not release a description of the suspects or the vehicle.

Attitude toward crime and punishment has deteriorated over the last 50/60 years, especially in recent amnesty programs, such victimless and/or non-violent crimes. Presidential pardons of friend or former donors, etc. Population is fed up with how justice is rationalized by the liberals.

You seem to be a little touchy on the subject. Is it because the current hypocrite in that office is telling us guns are dangerous, but then he pardons people who have used guns while committing crimes?

No description of suspects or vehicle? So the juvenile and father couldn’t remember or they didn’t see them? Did HPD refuse to tell the SA reporter? Maybe if that information would have been published someone in the community could provide HDP a lead.

Hawaii has always had crime. The Internet posts it, in real time. The newspapers, in days gone by, was at least 1 day old. Crimes in the morning, got reported in the evening news.
I sure do miss the days when the average top news on certain islands were, “Keoniʻs cows were missing from his pasture” and “Dawgs pitbull just had a litter of 10 pups”, “Major neighborhood party on akule street for auntyʻs 90th was good fun”…..etc,etc

Part of the problem is the father who instead of calling the police, went looking for the suspect on his own. The outcome would probably have been an arrest instead of another assault if the father, or son, called the police instead.
