Police seek cross-dressed shoplifter who used pepper spray at Pearl City Walmart

    Honolulu Police released a security camera image of a shoplifting suspect who allegedly used pepper spray on a Walmart employee to get away. Police said the suspect is a man dressed as a woman.

A man dressed as a woman used pepper spray on a Walmart worker to get away after shoplifting, police said.

Police released security camera video and photos of the suspect and a woman accomplice in the incident and are asking for the public’s help in catching them.

Police said the pair entered the Pearl City Walmart at about 2 a.m. on Feb. 16 and attempted to leave with merchandise without paying.

Another video apparently shows the man dressed as a woman using pepper spray on a Walmart worker before leaving the store.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police at 529-3111 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone.
