Police need help finding Kailua bank robber

    Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Kailua Monday.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect in a bank robbery in Kailua Monday.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department said they are looking for a male who is wanted for robbing the Bank of Hawaii located at 636 Kailua Road.

The robbery occurred Monday at about 3:30 p.m. when a man entered the bank, approached the teller and demanded money. He fled on foot in an unknown direction, according to police.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30s, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-6 inches tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt, light-colored shorts, white visor and sunglasses. He was carrying a blue backpack.
