Police seek attempted murder suspect in Pearl City shooting

Police are asking the public’s help in finding an attempted murder suspect after a 21-year-old man was shot in Pearl City early Friday morning.

Emergency Medical Services said the shooting was reported at around 12:38 a.m. near the Winner’z Zone, a video arcade center, on Kamehameha Highway.

Police said the victim was seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle when he was shot by the suspect who was armed with a handgun. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said. He is described as being in his 20s, 5-foot-10, and about 175 pounds.
