Punaluu family returns from vacation to find home burglarized

A Punaluu family returned from a week-long vacation Monday to find their home burglarized, police said.

Police said the break-in occurred between May 8 – 16.

The case has been classified as a first-degree burglary.

      Are burglaries now considered a common occurrence on Oahu and we should just accept it without reporting it?

        It would be more valuable if the SA used this as an opportunity to suggest to people how to avoid this from happening because it does happen all the time. It was an article with no real substance behind it.

    Why is this news? Burglaries happen every day on Oahu. Two happened in my neighborhood on the same day two weeks ago.
