Rains expected to continue through tomorrow
Heavier than normal rain is in the forecast through Sunday.
The National Weather Service says last night’s rains should continue through tonight and probably into Saturday.
Lead Forecaster Tim Craig said a combination of trade wind showers and rain caused by afternoon heating is causing scattered heavy showers throughout the state.
Drought-stricken areas of Maui and the Big Island should also get showers this afternoon, Craig said.
“This is the kind of rain we can use,” he said.
