Army officials have identified the soldier who died in a vehicle crash that injured three others at the Schofield Barracks Saturday.

Officials say in a statement Monday that 23-year-old Spc. Phillip S. Bullins of Carthage, N.C., was killed at the scene of the accident.

Bullins joined the army in September 2009 and was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division.

He returned in June from a yearlong deployment to Iraq. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
