Expect a few more showers and humid conditions Tuesday morning as another band of rain clouds is blown in by the tradewinds moves over the state.

Forecasters expect partly sunny skies with showers likely in the morning and scattered showers in the afternoon.

“Bands of moisture moving along the trade wind flow will lead to another, somewhat active rainfall pattern tonight and early Tuesday, with some showers reaching leeward sections of the smaller islands,” forecasters said Monday night.

Tradewinds should remain moderate at about 15 mph.

Remnants of former Tropical Storm Lowell are expected to move north of the islands, blocking some of the flow of the cooling tradewinds on Thursday. The light tradewinds could continue into the Labor Day weekend.

Surf from Lowell is also bringing an east swell, which will be boosted by more waves from Hurricane Marie later in the week.
