Stolen mail, BB gun, and illegal drugs found in man’s car

Police discovered stolen mail, a BB pistol and two packets of illegal drugs after stopping a vehicle Saturday night in Waianae for an alleged traffic violation, according to police records.

Police stopped the vehicle around 10:32 p.m. near Ulehawa and Hakimo roads. 

Inside the car, police found mail stolen from the mailbox of a 59-year-old woman and a BB pistol. A search of the 29-year-old driver also revealed two packets of illegal drugs in his pockets, police said. 

The man, of a Waianae address, was arrested after the incident on suspicion of driving without a license, unauthorized use of an air gun, having unauthorized personal information, and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, according to police records. His passenger, a 21-year-old Kaneohe woman, was arrested on suspicion of having unauthorized personal information.
