Two men were seriously injured in a head-on car crash Monday on the H-2 freeway.

Emergency Medical Services said the 40-year-old male driver of a vehicle and his 35-year-old passenger were heading northbound on the H-2 when the vehicle jumped the embankment and struck a car heading in the opposite direction head-on.

The collision occurred at 2:45 p.m. near Ka Uka Boulevard.

EMS paramedics transported the two men in serious but stable condition by ambulance to a hospital.

No one else was injured in the crash, EMS said.
