Davis Rozitis, a 7-foot sophomore center from USC, will transfer to the University of Hawaii to play men’s basketball under coach Gib Arnold.

As a freshman, he played sparingly for the Trojans last year, appearing in eight games behind a deep and physical front line. He totaled two points and seven rebounds in 28 minutes on the year.

Arnold cannot yet comment on Rozitis, as paperwork hasn’t been completed.

Rozitis will take the last scholarship UH had available for the 2010-11 season, though he will sit out a mandatory year per NCAA Division I transfer rules.

After redshirting, the Latvian will have three years to play three seasons.
