The Medical Examiner’s Office identified a 21-year-old man who died Tuesday after the mo-ped he was driving collided with a car near the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
Erin Kalamau was identified as the victim.
The accident occurred at 9:04 a.m. in the 2400 block of Puowaina Drive, which leads to the cemetery.
Tour buses and other vehicles were unable to enter the cemetery for three hours because the road and entranceway were blocked.
Traffic was rerouted in the area of Hookui and Auwaiolimu streets because of the accident investigation.
