Wahiawa man was charged with robbery after confrontation

A 20-year-old Wahiawa man was charged with robbery after he got into a confrontation with another man in Kalihi on Sunday.

Dion V. Kitzmiller was charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug on Monday. His bail was set at $25,000.

The 33-year-old victim was taken to the hospital at 8:09 a.m. on Sunday in serious condition after being attacked by the suspect when he tried to leave a Kalihi home. The suspect had demanded money from the victim, who refused.

The suspect also faces several contempt charges.
