Waikiki man arrested for allegedly trying to run over 3 men

Police arrested a 34-year-old Waikiki man on suspicion of three counts of attempted murder for allegedly trying to run over three people in Waikiki.

The men, ages 18, 33, and 34, said the suspect intentionally drove his vehicle towards them and threatened them at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police also arrested the man on suspicion of three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, impersonating a law enforcement officer and endangering the welfare of a minor.

The arrest occurred at Leahi Avenue and Pualei Circle near the man’s home.
