Authorities charged a 53-year-old Wapahu man who allegedly damaged a woman’s vehicle and threatened her with a dangerous instrument on June 3.

Police said the suspect argued with a 29-year-old woman  and damaged her vehicle’s windshield at 6:45 a.m. on June 3. He then allegedly entered her vehicle and assaulted her with a dangerous instrument.

Police arrested the man at 3:46 p.m. Thursday at the Kapolei Police Station on suspicion of criminal property damage and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

Prosecutors charged him Friday with criminal property damage, assault and terroristic threatening.

Bail was set at $100,000.
