Honolulu’s Michelle Wie closed her LPGA Championship today with a 70 to finish at 1-over 289 for the tournament. The Punahou School graduate tied for 19th some 20 strokes behind winner Cristie Kerr.

Kerr won the second major of the year on the women’s tour and will likely be the first from the USA to be ranked No. 1 in the world since the current system was put into place in 2006.

Wie carded four bogeys and six birdies in her final round. For the week, she hit 24 of 56 fairways and 51 of 72 greens in regulation. She averaged 263.88 yards off the tee and needed 124 putts, averaging 31 a round.
