A 19-year-old woman is in police custody after she allegedly assaulted a police officer Wednesday who was trying to break up a fight in the Aala Park area.
Police officers were summoned to a report of a fight at 7 p.m. A police officer was allegedly struck in the face by the suspect. The officer was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries and released.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.
