Police arrested a 50-year-old woman on Friday after she allegedly tried to cash a stolen check at a credit union on Kapiolani Boulevard.

According to police, the suspect had cashed another stolen check a day earlier. The checks were taken from an 81-year-old man during a burglary, police said.

The suspect, who does not have a local address, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree forgery and third-degree theft.
