Prosecutors charged a 21-year-old Waimanalo woman with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of her boyfriend Sunday morning.
Ishia Kaawa was being held on $100,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in District Court this morning to face the charge.
Police said an argument between the couple escalated, and Kaawa allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old man Sunday morning on Oluolu Street in Waimanalo at about 8:30 a.m.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital in critical condition, an Emergency Services Department spokesman said.
Police arrested the woman at a nearby home shortly after the stabbing.
