Robert Peyton, head of Bob Peyton Entertainment Corp. and BPE Productions Inc., has died.

Peyton worked with the UH Athletics Department to set up the failed fundraising concert last year by singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder.

A friend of the family said Peyton died early this morning at a hospital.

Peyton was one of Hawaii’s top concert promoters. He brought many big-name acts to the state over decades.
