Five Hawaii restaurants rated most romantic

The annual ranking of 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America includes two in Honolulu, one in Wailea, Maui, one in Poipu, Kauai and one on the Kona Coast of Hawaii island.

The list was released this morning by OpenTable.com, the online dining and review site, and is presented in alphabetical order.

Hawaii’s listed restaurants are Capische at the Hotel Wailea, on Maui; La Mer at Halekulani and Michel’s at the Colony Surf in Waikiki, Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt Kauai in Poipu, and ‘Ulu Ocean Grill and Sushi Lounge at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, in Kaupulehu, Hawaii.

Reviews of more than five million OpenTable.com users submitted between December 7, 2014 and December 6, 2015 were analyzed in order to compile the list, which is released each year prior to Valentine’s Day.

    All great places, cept I have not been to Michels. A huge well done to the gang at La Mer, Mahalo for raising the bar for quality dining in a beautiful setting.

    Michel’s still around? That was the place to take your prom date in the 70s. Good to know places like that is still around.
