A local developer is advancing plans to develop the second of two towers in a planned $400 million workforce housing project on a parcel that was once home to The Honolulu Advertiser. Construction on the first tower, on the right in the rendering, began recently. To make room for a parking garage for the second tower, the developer proposes to demolish about half of the former Advertiser News Building, which was built in 1929.
