Honolulu ranked as America’s top beach getaway

Honolulu is the favorite beach getaway destination and ranks high in other categories in the 2014 "America’s Favorite Cities" report in Travel + Leisure magazine.

Honolulu also ranked second in the U.S. for weather (behind San Diego), second for a romantic escape (behind Charleston, S.C.), third for an adventure vacation (behind Salt Lake City and Albuquerque, N.M.) and fourth for a spa vacation (behind San Diego, Miami and Los Angeles).

Honolulu ranked as the19th-best cityfor coffee in theU.S., with the T+Lwrite-up online mentioning Hawaii’s Kona coffee crop, Glazer’s Coffee in Moiliili, Green World Farms in Wahiawa and Morning Glass Coffee locations inManoa and Kakaako. Hono­lulu is not among the top five cities for people-watching, nor is it among the top five for athletic or active people, friendly, attractive, or intelligent people.
