Anniversary approaching

'New' Willows celebrates 11 years in the restaurant business

Happy anniversary! The Willows celebrates its 11th anniversary under new management, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Monday. The event will be open to the public with a $5 cover charge, with food and drink scrips sold at the door for sampling from food stations set up throughout the property, as well as beer, wine and spirits. Sample prices are $4 for truffled misoyaki salmon with white rice; $4 for pepper-crusted pork loin with kabayaki glaze; $5 for oven roast beef tenderloin with aged balsamic jus and garlic mashed potatoes; and $5 for bacon-wrapped shrimp with lobster reduction with garlic mashed potatoes. There also will be a wine-tasting room with $25 admission good for up to 10 2-ounce servings), and prize giveaways with a chance to win a Vacations Hawaii Las Vegas getaway for two or dinner at the Willows for a year. Whee for Wii!: Mondays are Wii Play Mondays! at Bar 35, where those who show up for informal team competitions can enjoy happy hour all night long with $3 martinis, drafts and $4 bottles. Chef Valentini also will offer his EuroFries, with eight different sauces to choose from, at 50 percent off.
