Hawaii Pacific University plans to put dormitory rooms on the second floor of the Aloha Tower Marketplace. This was the desolate scene in December, when none of the upstairs spaces were filled.

In January, Hawaii Pacific University received approval from the landowner, Aloha Tower Development Corp., to redevelop the Aloha Tower harborfront site, which will include a gym and student housing.
