'Lost' gets multiple nods; 'Glee,' 'Mad Men' score big

By Star-Advertiser Staff and News Services

The final season of the Hawaii-based series "Lost" collected Emmy nominations for best drama series, star Matthew Fox and supporting cast Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson. Elizabeth Mitchell received a guest actress bid.

The ABC show, which ended its six-year run in May, is competing against "Mad Men," the top nominee with 17 bids.

A show with another Hawaii connection was a top nominee. The past season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," featuring Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, was the most-nominated reality series with nine bids. Scherzinger, winner of the competition, spent her early years in the Islands and is part-Hawaiian.

The Emmy Awards will air Aug. 29 on NBC. A complete rundown of nominations appears below.
