Pearlridge lands Aeropostale

Aeropostale opened its doors at Pearlridge last month, with 2,900 square feet of casual clothing, slippers and accessories geared toward young men and women.

Among its grand opening deals are $5 graphic T-shirts.

Look for it at Pearlridge Uptown, first level, next to Gymboree.

Shop Japanese at cultural center

A "Mini Things Japanese" sale will take place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii's Teruya Courtyard.

Up for grabs will be lacquerware, kimono, ceramics, zori, art work and more. All books in the gift shop will be 20 percent off, and prizes will be offered with a spin of a prize wheel.
