Spring break is beckoning college students throughout the land. Next week, about 22,000 students from Oahu universities — and an untold number of mainland collegians — will hit the beaches, bars, restaurants, clubs and stores in search of some serious R&R. Find gem rarities at Sedona show
Sedona is hosting a Gem and Jewelry Show and Sale from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, featuring rare gemstones, crystals and handmade jewelry from the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, as well as unusual rocks and minerals.
Jewelry lovers will find nomadic knotwork necklaces and bracelets, gemstone and silver rings from Daisy Ho, and jewelry starting at less than $50. There will also be amethyst geodes and stones cut by lapidarist Kevin Lane Smith.

Latest in beauty at Nordstrom
Nordstrom hosts "Beauty on Location" from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday, highlighting the latest makeup, skin care and fragrance must-haves. Appointments are being taken at cosmetic counters for free consultations. Those who purchase $100 or more in cosmetics will receive a Nordstrom spring tote bag.
Get makeup done at Victoria Secret
Beginning Tuesday, Victoria Secret at Ala Moana Center will offer makeup by appointment for prom-goers, or anyone else heading out to a special occasion, with a minimum $35 purchase. From Tuesday to March 28, those taking advantage of the service will also receive a free tote while supplies last. The tote will also be available to those who make a purchase of $30 or more.
The event coincides with the debut of VS Beauty's VS Attractions fragrance line.
