Midnight viewing

Set yourself up for the much-anticipated conclusion to the Harry Potter film franchise with a screening of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1” at 8 tonight at Consolidated Theatres’ Ward 16, the final offering in the four-day “Potterthon” that featured the seven previous Harry Potter movies. Tickets are $7.

Then stick around for the midnight premiere of “Deathly Hallows Part 2.” Midnight screenings are scheduled at all Consolidated and Regal locations, but they’ve already started selling out, so don’t dawdle. Advance tickets are available at www.consolidatedtheatres.com or www.fandango.com.

Library celebration

“Harry Potter will always have a place in my heart since it positively got everyone to read!” says McCully-Moiliili Public Library branch manager Hillary Chang. “My branch even has the series in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese!”

To celebrate Pottermania, Chang’s library is hosting an all-day Harry Potter Party for teens and younger keiki on Saturday. Crafts will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. (registration required); a miniconcert by the students of the Kim Kiyabu Piano Studio from 1 to 2 p.m.; and a showing of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1” from 2:15 to 4:45 p.m.

Library patrons are encouraged to dress up in their favorite magical costumes and join the fun. Call 973-1099.

Eat like a wizard

The weekly vegetarian cooking class Monday at Down to Earth in Pearlridge will conjure up vegetarian versions of Harry Potter food and drink favorites.

The menu includes Burrow Bites, Three Broomsticks Drinks and Honeydukes Treats.

The free class with Cynthia Cruz starts at 5:30 p.m.

Call 947-3249.
