Show provides peek at 2013 holiday designs

Honolulu designer Matt Bruening will debut his Holiday 2013 collection during the "BLVQ | MB Holiday Collection Fashion Show," 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Republik, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Bruening's collection is about going back to basics, with garments featuring clean lines, mild structure and simplicity as the path to impact.

The show will kick off Christa Wittmier's "Last Ever" party combining music, fashion and art to raise funds for the art collective Pow Wow Hawai‘i. Headlining will be electro-pop music duo The Knocks.
