No wonder health insurance cost so much. We have to pay these 20 year old for reckless behavior?

What move, allie? There is nothing in the article to indicate how or why he fell. Perhaps he a new UH student, unfamiliar with the area around Hale Aloha, and simply took a wrong turn. Who are you to judge him with no facts, no information and nothing but your incessant need to post on every topic to go by. Sierra Tango Foxtrot Uniform.

Those cliffs next to the UH dorms, parking lot and UH law school has been there ever since UH was built, which was what, 80 to 100 years ago? In the history of UH Manoa, I don't think any student has fallen off those cliffs until now so clearly UH has taken sufficient safety measures for the cliff that separates the upper campus with the lower UH athletic complex and parking lot. You have to be really incredibly wasted or suicidal to purposely climb over safety fences and/or barriers to get into a position to fall over those cliffs.

This is the newest generation, and it seems we are making little generational progress. He was probably good at navigating all the features and applications on his I Phone, but he was unable to tie them all together so that he could navigate safely in the world. After "Race to the Top" (did he ever take a tumble!) and "Common Core".............we will have another widespread program foisted upon us to "prepare our younger generations". I suppose this young man's fall is just one other example of the need for Obamacare to care for those who cannot take care of themselves.

IRT Randolph, I'm speculating on the unknown, as everyone here does very often. The student has medical insurance thru the school, thru Medicaid or his parents.

"A spokeswoman for UH Manoa was not immediately available to provide more information." In other words, the newspaper is asking for the community's help in writing this story.

Horrible news. He must of been hiking on the Waʻahila Ridge Trail which is a hike that is above the dorms.

IRT 808, at 1:30am, I don't think he's hiking the ridge. How did he get back on campus? Maybe he fell down the hill onto the baseball field. I just hate it when the story is incomplete.

Yep..I think so..Ilima is just above the quarry..Might have had the idea to try and climb down..all these years I never heard of that one..When I was there we had someone jump from Wainani..Right in front of the front desk..This sounds more like an accident or playing around and slipped..Stuff happens when you are in college..The trick is to survive the 4 years..

What makes you assume that? There is no information yet on why he was there or how he fell. Is it really likely that someone would be hiking at 1:30 in the morning? Just curious, but have you been hanging around with allie?
