A new exhibit on pidgin, the creole dialect of Hawaii, will be celebrated from 1 to 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Hawaii Plantation Village Museum, 94-695 Waipahu St. "Pidgin: How Was, How Stay" features an illustrated time line that connects history and the development of pidgin English, audiovisual samples of plantation-era and contemporary pidgin and a display on the ways it is used today in Hawaii. The free opening-day event includes an introduction by John Rosa, assistant professor of history at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, documentary screenings, food and fun activities.
