‘Django Unchained'

Quentin Tarantino's latest film is set in the South two years before the Civil War, as a German-born bounty hunter buys the freedom of a slave with the promise of freeing him if he helps capture a gang of murderous brothers. Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kerry Washington star. Rated: R

‘Les Misérables'

Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper ("The King's Speech") adapts the hit stage musical to the big screen. Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe star in the epic story of broken dreams and unrequited love set against the backdrop of 19th-century France. Rated: PG-13

‘Parental Guidance'

Billy Crystal and Bette Midler play an old-school grandfather and his eager-to-please wife who agree to baby-sit their three grandchildren while their parents are away at work. Rated: PG

‘Silver Linings Playbook'

After spending a stint in a state institution on a plea bargain, a former teacher but still avid fan of his Philadelphia Eagles football team moves back in with his parents, determined to rebuild his life and reunite with his wife. He meets a mysterious young woman with problems of her own, who offers to help him reconnect with his wife, provided that he'll do something very important for her in return. There's some Oscar buzz surrounding this movie starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro. At Consolidated Kahala Rated: R
