Kumu Kahua Managing Director Donna Blanchard celebrated with playwright Lee A. Kusaka stars as an Okinawan-American who would rather play ukulele than sanshin, a traditional Okinawan instrument, but finds his niche playing a hybrid of the two instruments that’s known as a sanlele.
