The golf pro, the drummer, the noodle maker, the nurse and several others profiled on the following pages are all part of the vast network of people who make Hawaii function. Some turned childhood passions into professions or felt drawn to serve their nation and improve the lives of others. Some began what were ordinary jobs that over the years bred devotion to the work and the company. All of their tales inspire us.
