World’s largest loco moco sets record at rice festival

Workers add a layer of beef patties onto a layer of rice to form their giant loco moco. In an attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the world's largest loco moco, chef Hideaki "Santa" Miyoshi of Tokkuri Tei used 600 lbs. of rice, 300 lbs. of beef, 200 lbs. of gravy and 300 eggs put together in a huge "bowl" during the 5th Annual Rice Festival on Auahi Street in the Ward Centers area to honor Hawaii's beloved grain and bring family and friends together with food, entertainment and activities.
