Lei ‘O Lanikuhonua Hula Festival

Twyla Mendez, left, and Kimo Alama Keaulana shared a laugh together Saturday at the 6th Annual Lei 'O Lanikuhonua Hula Festival held on the grounds of Lanikuhonua at Ko Olina. The one-day hula festival was sponsored by the James & Abigail Campbell Family Foundation, the James Campbell Company, Hawaiian Airlines and Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute. More than 300 high school students participated in the event along with 11 renowned kumu hula including Nahokuokalani Gaspang, Olana Ai, Coline Aiu, Leialoha Amina, Kimo Alama Keaulana, Twyla Mendez, Kapi'olani Ha'o, Tracie and Keawe Lopes, Allison Ka'ilihiwa Vaughn-Darval and T. Kaleika'apuni "Harmony" Brighter.
