Island Images: Walter J. Macfarlane Regatta
Walter J. Macfarlane Regatta in Waikiki is the Oahu Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association's only surf race. It honors the former Outrigger Canoe Club president who died of typhoid at the age of 36 in 1943. The results don't officially count toward the standing to qualify for the OHCRA state championships.
