3rd Annual Makahiki Competition: Nov. 17, 2012

The Hawaiian Civc Club of Waimanalo sponsored the 3rd Annual Makahiki Competition where traditional Hawaiian games such as ulu mauka (throwing circular stone), moa pahe'e (throwing a club), 'o'o ihe (spear throwing), kakala'au (double tip spear fighting) and hakamao (fighting on one foot) at Bellows Beach Park. This is (l-r) Maynard Koa, Mano Cabebe, Sam Gon and Kalama Cabigos offering ho'okupu at the "lele" (or altar) during the opening ceremonies and to start the games.
